Well, we've survived our first Montana winter~ luckily for us our first one was quite mild. Good chance to get our feet wet. Just a few weeks of -25 temps was enough to show us how pipes can freeze, etc. Our woodstove served us quite well and we still have wood left over for those freak cold snaps Montana is famous for.
Spring has definitely begun to sprung. The bluebirds showed up on the first Spring day and little green shoots are popping up everywhere. My garlic is beginning to sprout and I keep peeking to see if my daffodils are coming up. Nothing so far.
Since this is my first post maybe I should mention a little something about us. My husband Dave & I are both 40 and have been happily together for the last 17 yrs. We actually met on my 16th birthday so we've known each other for over half of our lives. We share our lives with a 12 yr old pit/chow mix Sophie, 7 yr old husky/wolf mix Luna, 2 yr old husky/wolf mix Whispering Quill, and a 12 yr old orange tabby kitty Catman. We also have a herd of mule deer we have befriended since we moved here in June that come when we call them in for treats. We're really looking forward to seeing all the bucks grow their new antlers and to see the babies come June or so.
